Amenities at the Doubletree by Hilton Acaya Golf Resort
Guests at the Acaya Golf Resort hotel enjoy different amenities such as a sparkling outdoor pool in a vast central courtyard as well as a heated indoor pool and whirlpool.

There is also a private beach on the Adriatic Sea just 5 minutes from the Doubletree Hotel. But since we were there off-season, i.e. in October 2011, we did not have the chance to go to the private beach. We still went to the sea by rental car. The water was pretty ‘refreshing’ and we didn’t stay long.
Acaya Golf Course
Acaya Golf is one of the finest golf courses in Italy. A broad panorama and a wonderful variety of holes will keep you entertained from the 1st to the 18th hole. Some come with water hazards, others with desert type bushes in the way.

At times also the wind may play a role thus adding to the challenge of reaching the fairways. Respectable carry distances are required on some holes, on others you better play all straight or thick grass will give you a new challenge… It’s still great fun to play this golf course since it offers an awesome view and well maintained greens and fairways.

Dinner in the Acaya Region
We chose the Acaya Golf Resort mainly for its golf course. We are more into small boutique hotels than large resorts, hence we opted for dinner in a nearby restaurant. There are a few nice places in San Cataldo, as we happened to discover the morning of our departure… Instead we drove in the opposite direction into the Acaya village where we had a nice authentic and rural dinner at Trattoria Nonno Pici.
