On the hamlet of Sporz, on 1’600 metres above sea level, you will find the charming and highly recommended alpine design and lifestyle hotel Guarda Val.
The 11 rooms of the alpine boutique hotel Guarda Val are located in former huts and barns. Since the renovation in May 2009 the rooms appear in a very new and charming alpine design.
The Guarda Val conveys an air of natural romance with a contemporary alpine lifestyle and an authentic Maiensaess feeling. The gourmet restaurant ‘Guarda Val’ with 16 Gault Millau points receives its guests in an elegant ambiance. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. We were very impressed with the sommelier who gave us a very good recommendation on an excellent grappa :-)
The SPA of the hotel was recently promoted by the women’s magazine Annabelle. We didn’t use it though, since after a golf round on a sunny and warm day we just didn’t feel having a bath in the Hot Tub or a sweatbath.

The golf course at Lenzerheide was a bit bumpy due to the weather the previous days, but the mountain panorama was just breathtaking!
The next morning we enjoyed the rich breakfast buffet in the former cowhouse – and again – we were spoiled with delicious food. Needless to say, that we travelled back home to the city with a certain melancholy – but perfectly happy. The bill, though, might not exactly be a bargain, but the value for money was excellent!
