This hotel in the Mecidiyeköy district of Istanbul has been owned by the Marmara Group since 2008. The building was completely renovated and decorated with stylistic elements of the 1950s by the renowned Turksih design agency Autoban. An interesting mix of classical and modern.
At reception you are already given a warm and friendly welcome and accompanied to your room, where many lovely extras await.
Premium Turkish wines
The Marmara Group not only specialises in serving discerning guests, but also in pressing wine. A sample of the wine Vinkara can be enjoyed in your own room.
Hotel rooms from Superior and Superior Plus up to the Junior Suite
The 98 rooms in the Marmarma Șișli are able to fulfil every need. In the Superior Room we stay the night on a queen-sized bed and get to enjoy the view of the Business District. The interior of the room is seamlessly integrated into the ’50s flair of the reception area.
Also designed with impressive authenticity are the bathrooms with classic fittings, and the original washbasins are even still present in the Superior Plus rooms.
The chief unique feature of the three suites at the Marmara Șișli is the view over the Bosphorus and the Asian side of Istanbul, which may be admired from the king-sized bed or the whirlpool.
From the modest sitting area guests can watch the sun set behind the skyscrapers in the evening.
Thanks to the favourable location in the middle of the Business District on the European side of this metropolis, the Marmara Șișli primarily accommodates businesspeople. The rooms are perfectly designed accordingly. Along with five conference rooms, there is also a Business Lounge with the necessary amenities, which naturally was a big help to us travel bloggers ;-)
Café, restaurant, bar
The dining area is modest but provides an extensive menu of foods and drinks. During the day the charming café offers a refreshing drink, with food and relaxation in the evening.
While eating and drinking, guests are eyed from above by various bird characters, with two drunken penguin figures and a philosophical jester down below.
Be it a quick snack or supper after a successful day of business, the servers have a suggestion for every occasion. The dessert menu is especially recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth.
