# Interview with Marcel Wanders on the Next Big Thing in Hotel Interior Design

- **Andaz Amsterdam – video installations** — 45 curated art video installations throughout the hotel, with works by artists such as Ryan Gander, Erwin Olaf and Mark Titchner added at a rate of three to six per year.
- **Andaz Amsterdam – lounge video screen** — The largest display comprises nine 60-inch televisions and screens video art in the lounge area.
- **Andaz Amsterdam – Dutch clogs with yawning mouths** — A reinterpretation of traditional Dutch wooden shoes painted with yawning mouths, featuring Amsterdam's three-cross symbol representing the virtues Valiant, Steadfast and Compassionate.

## Good to know
Marcel Wanders Studio, based in Amsterdam's Westerhuis, operates with a team of around 50 staff. All projects are overseen personally by Wanders. The studio has also worked on Mondrian South Beach Miami and Hotel on Rivington in Manhattan, and was a co-author of the brand proposition for Kameha Grand Bonn.
