# My Arbor Hotel in South Tyrol – a childhood dream comes true!

> My Arbor is a luxury tree house hotel built on 66 stilts on the slopes of Plose mountain in South Tyrol, Italy, offering panoramic views of the Eisack Valley and the Dolomites in a nature-immersive setting.

## Destination
My Arbor Hotel, Leonharder Strasse 26, St. Andrä near Brixen (Bressanone), South Tyrol, Italy. The hotel sits on the slope of the Plose mountain massif.

## Getting there
Reachable by car from Brixen heading toward Plose. The Plose mountain train was not yet running at the time of the visit (May 2018). Day trips to Seiser Alm and Grödner Valley take approximately one hour by car.

## When to go
The hotel opened in May 2018. The surrounding area offers hiking in warmer months and skiing in winter via the connected Plose ski area.

## Why visit
A unique architectural hotel built on 66 tree trunks among spruce, larch and birch trees, combining genuine tree house atmosphere with luxury interiors, a large spa, fine dining, and sweeping Dolomite panoramas.

## What to see
- **Eisack Valley panorama** — Visible from the sun terrace, infinity pool, suites and restaurant, with views stretching to surrounding mountain ranges.
- **Dolomites and Plose mountain area** — Beautiful hiking terrain with dramatic rock formations; the Seiser Alm and Grödner Valley are about an hour away by car.
- **Water and Light Festival in Brixen** — A local cultural event in nearby Brixen; the hotel owner personally guides guests through it.

## What to do
- **Spa Arboris** — 2,500 m² spa with five saunas, relaxation rooms, infinity pool, whirlpool garden, and treatments named after local tree varieties.
- **Hiking on the Plose** — Extensive hiking trails around the hotel with Dolomite views; the Plose website lists all available routes.
- **Dining in the hotel restaurant** — Breakfast menu with egg dishes and delicacies; evening meals feature a salad and antipasto buffet, daily menu, and local desserts.
- **Wine bar and lounge** — A wine cellar below stairs and a lobby lounge bar for after-dinner drinks.

## Good to know
Almost all building materials are sourced locally, including larchwood, birchwood, oak, quartz and porphyry. Accommodation options include Nest rooms, Hangout suites (46 m² with glassed seating corner), and Treetop suites. Host Markus Huber, who conceived the project, is regularly present in the lobby.
