> WHITE Exclusive Suites & Villas is a 10-room boutique hotel in Lagoa on the south coast of São Miguel, Azores, blending 18th-century mansion architecture with modern design and unobstructed Atlantic Ocean views.

## Destination
Lagoa, south coast of São Miguel island, Azores — about 4 miles from Ponta Delgada and 19 miles from Furnas.

## Getting there
TAP Air Portugal flies from Switzerland (via Porto or Lisbon) to São Miguel; TAP also offers a Stopover Program to combine the trip with a city stay. Direct flights are available from Boston and New York.

## What to see
- **Ocean Suite veranda** — First-floor suite with a private alcove bench and sweeping views of the Atlantic.
- **Pool terrace at sunset** — Turquoise pool by day turns deep blue at night; terrace overlooks the ocean.
- **Historic architectural details** — Original basalt-rock walls and stone arches from the former 18th-century wine cellar are preserved within the modern structure.

## What to do
- **Alfresco breakfast on the terrace** — Table-served breakfast including home-made bread, pancakes, daily-changing fruit juice, and a detox drink can be enjoyed outside.
- **Dinner at the hotel restaurant** — Small menu with standout dishes; reserve a table the day before — highlights include calamari fritters and fish soup with coconut milk.

## Good to know
The hotel has only 10 rooms. First-floor rooms are quieter; some ground-floor rooms sit adjacent to the kitchen and pool area with frequent foot traffic. The hotel celebrated its one-year anniversary in summer 2018, having opened in summer 2017.
