Tenerife is the largest and probably the most populous of the seven Canary Islands. It is the perfect year round destination with a wide variety of landscapes, many attractions and sports activities offering something for everyone.
Sheraton La Caleta Resort & Spa, Costa Adeje
We stayed at The Sheraton La Caleta Resort & Spa which is situated on the southern coast of Tenerife, in Costa Adeje, near the small fishing port of La Caleta.
Sports activities on Tenerife
If you’re thinking of playing some holiday golf, Tenerife is the ideal destination with sensational courses and stunning fairways. From La Caleta Resort there are several courses within close proximity, such as the golf course Costa Adeje, Los Palos, Golf del Sur, etc.
But Tenerife is also very well known to discover and enjoy the fascinating underwater world of the Canary Islands. We got to know BOB-Diving. BOB stands for Breathing Observation Bubble and is an underwater scooter for individual use. It offers underwater fun of traditional scuba diving, with much less effort. You have to try this out!
Teide Nationalpark
The Teide National Park is located in the centre of Tenerife. It is centered around Mount Teide (3718m) which is the highest mountain of the island. The scenery is simply breathtaking – an entire color palette from the different types of volcanic rock and different plants.
And when it comes to sunset the park becomes paradise on earth!
Loro Parque
Loro Parque (Spanish for ‘parrot park’) is a zoo located on the North of the island, near Puerto de la Cruz. The sub-tropical nature reserve is one of the major attractions in Tenerife where you can find a big variety of animals. We spent a whole day in the park and had great fun!
