Enticed by hearing over and over from friends about beautiful Croatia, we took off on a road trip to see for ourselves. The water is supposed to be clear like Sardinia’s, the scenery a luxuriant green, the towns picturesque and steeped in history. Say no more; let’s hit the road!

Early in 2013 we are touring Chile and Argentina on a Relais & Châteaux assignment. They are a collection of the most beautiful restaurants and hotels scattered around the world. Historically the hotel collection started out in 1954 as ‘route du bonheur’ (route of happiness), rallying outstanding restaurants and hotels along the picturesque route from Paris to lavish Côte d’Azur on the Mediterranean. Once we learned about that concept we thought there must also be a route du bonheur in Chile and Argentina. Here’s our take…

Autumn in Spain’s southern region of Andalusia is among the best travel seasons. It’s not so hot anymore and not rainy just yet. Golfers enjoy of a very mild Mediterranean climate and spectacular golf courses.

Beginning of October 2011 we went on a two week roundtrip in Puglia, the region which forms “the heel of Italy’s boot”. The focus during our trip was on bucolic landscapes, golf courses, typical italian food and stellar accomodation. Thanks to all those who gave us some good recommendations on what to see and where to go.
