The service is superb and very friendly. The welcome drink pampering started with a sparkling wine from the Alentejo region and strawberries!

Deluxe Rooms at Onyria Marinha

The 68 deluxe rooms at Onyria Marinha feature contemporary decor and furnishing. The bathroom is amazingly light and big featuring a walk in shower, a comfortable bathtub, l’Occitane toiletries and atmospheric lighting.

All of the spacious suites come with balcony or terrace. From our room we had a perfect view of hole 8 and its bunkers. And apparently some of the suites even feature a rooftop jacuzzi and ocean view!

Restaurants at Onyria Marinha

The hotel features an Italian venue: the STORY Restaurant. The breakfast buffet is varied and offers a generous choice.

For dinner we opted for Onyria’s restaurant Monte Mar, just a bit further up East of the same coastline. If you like seafood (as we do), don’t miss this little gem by the Atlantic coast! Their mixed fish and seafood platter won’t disappoint you!

Quinta da Marinha Golf Course

Quinta da Marinha is rather a flat course, located on the famous Estoril Coast (25 km from Lisbon). The course was designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. and is set in a private 110 hectares estate wooded with pine trees. With the Atlantic Ocean and the Sintra mountain, this course offers a beautiful surrounding scenery. If it’s not raining… that is.

One of the most remarkable holes is no. 14 – a par 3 requiring a precise shot in order to cross a cliff to reach the green!

The course’s only flaw is that you have to cross fairways in order to get to the next tee. You better watch out for flying balls!

Cascais and surroundings

Cascais is a colorful, cosmopolitan town with an elegant pedestrian zone, luxurious villas, fashionable shops and an assortment of restaurants and bars. The former fishing village became famous as a resort for Portugal’s royal family in the late 19th century and early 20th century. A few minutes outside the village, you will encounter some breathtaking beaches with crystal white sand.

The most popular excursion outside Cascais is Boca do Inferno (“Mouth of Hell”) – a chasm located in the seaside cliffs. Go at sunset and watch the seagulls play around. Dine with the locals at Mar do Inferno restaurant!
