Masseria Le Fabriche in Puglia, Italy

Masseria Le Fabriche is a newly restored 18th century country manor, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. It’s only a 10-minutes drive from the coast of the Ionic see and makes for a splendid stay in Italy’s Southern region of Puglia.

The Masseria style country house is located in a panoramic position overlooking the landscape with olive trees, vineyards and the Ionic sea. Masseria Le Fabriche is split into two parts; there is the rural main building, where you will find the reception, lobby, restaurant and different lounges and then there are the hotel rooms in a more contemporary setup and stylish design.

The masseria’s main building is decorated with a passion for details. The moment you enter you feel at home. And the more you walk around the more details you will discover.

We didn’t eat at the hotel since we were the only guests (October is definitely off-season for travelling in Puglia!). But the breakfast buffet offered a variety of delicious Italian cakes and specialities from the region. The nuts cake was exceptionally good but also the one made of apples was excellent.

A very good restaurant which was recommended by the staff at the masseria is the Osteria (small local style restaurant) in Monacizzo. The hosts are very friendly and we enjoyed the typical simple yet tasty Puglian cuisine. Of course it helps if you speak a word or two of Italian…

Suites at Masseria Le Fabriche

Le Fabriche offers 18 comfortable and very stylish Junior Suites. All suites at Masseria Le Fabriche sport Trani marble floors and a contemporary, refined design. The shower is especially generous and as functional as you rarely find in hotels (does your floor also spill all the time in hotel rooms?).

The suites are located about 80 meters from the main building and allow guests to maintain their privacy. Every suite has its own terrace overlooking the landscape.

Here again we were taken by the warm atmosphere despite the very simple yet stylish furnishing.

Masseria Le Fabriche’s wine

Host and owner of the beautiful agriturismo is Alessia Perrucci, a charismatic woman, who currently is also the president of the Association “Donne del Vino di Puglia”.

She produces her own olive oil and sells her own wine “Le Fabriche”. Alessia personally had us for a wine and olive oil tasting, which we enjoyed very much. She is very savvy about winegrowing and openly shares the history of the site with you.
