Masseria Cimino is a 18th century farmhouse that has been transformed into a very stylish boutique hotel. The hotel is situated in Savelletri di Fasano, on the Puglian coast between the cities of Bari and Brindisi. The rooms offer authentic rural design whereas the bar and lounge boast romantic light effects.

Masseria Cimino Boutique Hotel

Masseria Cimino is surrounded by expanses of vegetable gardens and century old olive groves. This chic luxury guesthouse is situated right next to Puglia’s San Domenico golf course. For passionate golfers who can’t envisage being too far away from the course, this is the place to be :-)

The Masseria has 15 rooms, some of which are located in the ancient tower Torre Cimino and others in the old farmhouse. The rooms are furnished in a mediterranean rural and authentical style. Some of the rooms have a beautiful fireplace and others have a large terrace overlooking the patio and golf course and with a view of the nearby Adriatic sea.

Like the rest of the hotel, Cimino’s rustic restaurant is furnished in white with lots of candles… how romantic! And the food suits the decor – a set menu of proper Pugliese pasta dishes and fabulous foccacia, all made with fresh vegetables grown on site. Also the fish dinner is excellent: Enjoy Italian style antipasto, primo and secondo. Delicious! The only worry is not to eat too much of every course or you won’t make it to the next ;-)

Masseria Cimino – What to Do

Come to Masseria Cimino if you’re looking to relax, play a round of golf or two and enjoy fine dining in a rural setup. The patio offers chic day beds. Right next to it there is a small pool with very (!) refreshing water.

Wireless internet access is available in the lounge and in the rooms.
There is an archaeological museum nearby and the small town Savelletri. If you care for afternoon cookies and coffee you should also try Borgo Egnazia, a resort style hotel run by the same proprietors. It was built in 2010 in a rural Italian way with a lot of chic decoration and a village style estate.

San Domenico Golf Course next to Masseria Cimino

San Domenico Golf is a mediterannean link course rated amongst the best in Italy. The 18 hole championship course lies next to the crystal azzures of the Adriatic Sea. The first hole starts off along some water. As of there you want to make sure not to set off into the thick bristly grass next to the fairway… Greens and fairways are very well maintained and you quickly feel like in a golfer’s paradise. As of October temperatures are ideal for a tee off in the morning or mid afternoon. A light breeze from the sea makes for agreable conditions.

Sounds wonderful! I really enjoy small hotels. They offer such a different experience than big impersonal places.

Looks lovely – I am not a big golf fan, but I would love to see Puglia
