Built on a former Masseria that housed an abbey dating back to the first century, this retreat offers 46 stunning rooms and suites around a few courtyards and a spa with its two pools. The showers are the most generous around ;-)

Relais Histó San Pietro in Puglia

The Relais Histò San Pietro sul Mar Piccolo near Taranto is an incredibly pretty luxury hotel. The whole stone structure with its patios, the lemon trees and even a little church, make Relais Histò San Pietro a great escape.

The relais also features a very stylish spa and a seasonal outdoor pool. The spa is pampering its guests with sound decor in the steam bath, a sauna with a view of the sunset, hot pools with massage water jets as well as a Trulli style ‘oven’ to chill out in a warm setup during the cold off-season months. Both sauna and spa come at a fee.

Rooms at Relais Histò San Pietro

Relais Histò San Pietro sul Mar Piccolo offers 46 accommodations either with ocean-, courtyard-, or garden-view. The rooms and suites of this historic hotel meet state of the art modern comforts. The furnishings are sleek and stylish: spacious marble bathrooms, massive beds, delicate leather armchairs and steel stairs make for a luxurious setup.

We stayed at a loft suite with a bedroom and bathroom in the upper floor and a huge living room on the ground floor with yet another bathroom… This one comes with the most generous shower around. Large, sleek, three different showers, no spilling. Well done!

Gourmet Restaurant at Relais Histò San Pietro

The resort has its own gourmet restaurant, tucked inside the aged olive mill. They offer traditional and regional dishes. We did not eat at the restaurant and can not personally judge the quality. But the breakfast buffet was delicious. The pickled plums are a must-try!
