In summer 2010 a new boutique hotel opened its doors in the heart of Zurich’s city centre, a block away from the main train station. The Townhouse Boutique Hotel offers English style accomodation right next to the famous Bahnhofstrasse.

Check-in takes place in a living room type atmosphere on the 5th floor. That makes the Townhouse Boutique Hotel Zurich hard to spot since the ground level hosts shops and restaurants.
I discovered the hotel only by chance while accompanying colleagues who checked in at the Townhouse. I was surprised by the great location right downtown Zurich. There are different room types and sizes and apparently value for money is very good.
As I happened to walk in only by chance I didn’t have my usual SLR camera with me, but my brandnew HTC smartphone does a good job, too ;-)
