The Limes hotel is a small and fine boutique hotel situated in Brisbane’s thriving Fortitude Valley quarter.

The Limes hotel rooms are small, yet functional. The compulsory Nespresso machine and tasty brownies make for a good start into a busy day of discovering Brisbane.

Free broadband wifi internet access and nicely smelling products from Oxytane in the bathroom cater nicely to traveler’s needs.

The welcome drink is offered on the rooftop bar. The bar is very popular with a young crowd. On Sundays there will be a rooftop cinema event.

The hotel’s direct neighbourhood consists of government office buildings, furniture shops and car dealerships. But within a short walking distance you will find numerous entertainment opportunities such as the restaurants around Emporium shopping mall with Maroccan style Mecca Bah, Asian Wagamama and the likes.

Other recommended places include nicely designed Cru on busy James Street, Harvey’s and some more. The Limes hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, hence Harvey’s is one of the closest breakfast sites if you prefer not to have it in the room.

Chinatown with its countless restaurants is also just a short walk away as well as classy tapas dining at Ortiga on Brunswick street. The hotel staff is very helpful in finding an appropriate dining option.

The closest stop of the Citysights city tour coach (hop-on, hop-off) is in Chinatown at Duncan and Ann street next to the shopping mall. As per usual the city tour coach offers a good first impression of points of interest to which to return at a later point in time.

The coach ticket is also valid for the City Cats, catamarans cruising up and down Brisbane river.
