Barcelona is a city that practically revolves around restaurant culture. So many people go to restaurants in Barcelona that the city is saturated with places to go grab a bite to eat. With so many restaurants available, how can you expect to find that extra special place to eat?

One way is to eat in a more upscale restaurant. So whether it’s for a special occasion or you’re just living the jet set lifestyle, here are some great luxury restaurants in Barcelona.

It may be a hotel restaurant, but don’t let that fool you, because at ABaC you’re going to discover some of the tastiest food in Barcelona. It’s really no surprise that the food is so good considering that this is a 2 Michelin star restaurant. The food here is very creative including sweet and salty oysters, sea urchin curry, and pickled meringue.

Saüc is a Michelin star restaurant in the city centre of Barcelona where you can choose from a 3 course lunch menu for only €37 per person. From the cuisine, to the atmosphere and service, you’ll find that Saüc offers one of the best all round dining experiences in Barcelona.

The basque region of Spain is known for its prime quality of cuisine and now you can get a taste of that talent in Barcelona. At Lasarte restaurant Basque chef Paolo Casagrande provides guests with cuisine of a luxurious and creative caliber. For instance; Iberian cured ham soup, Ox filet in a foie gras sauce, and lemon peel ice cream with a green apple iced drink and an olive oil cake, are just some of the dishes on offer.

With its stylish and cosy interior, you don’t want to miss out on this one. But be careful, there are few tables here to ensure an intimate experience, so make sure you book in advance.

Owned by Carme Ruscalleda, one of the most renowned female chefs in the world (with a total of 5 Michelin stars to her name), Moments provides impressive food in a comfortable atmosphere. The staff are very professional and the head chef Raül Balam frequently makes appearances for guests to personally make sure they are having a great time.

If you have any personal food preferences regarding the menus (like you can’t eat seafood or pork) then let the chef know and he’ll rise up to the challenge. Where else can you find a service like that?

And there you have it. These are some of the most classy, modern, and luxurious restaurants in the city of Barcelona.
